desiree picked us up @the 50th street ramp— i-5 to bellingham.  she’s a student @UW, visiting her boyfriend in bellingham to go hiking to mt…baker?  really worried about our comfort, offered us chips &to pick music on the radio or cds.  i want to tell her this is our first time hitching but don’t, we are now listening to cake && i think she is glad to drive in the carpool lane with people to talk to.  she said she wouldn’t have picked us up if we were 2 dudes.  this experience is so good that i wonder if we should ever get in the car with 2 dudes, where we have to be cognizant of where our weapons are (we don’t have them with us).  so this is my first time &so far so good, i’m going to sing usher with these ladies now!
